Where was I ?

Okay here goes with my first photo question.
Where was I when I took these photies?
I had been invited down to be the guest of a 'famous' forumite so would Like to say a big thank to him, but with his skills at preparing snacks and goodies for pre party drinks I think he will make some one a good wife ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
So yesterday started of pleasant but forecast was not good, and it lived upto the bad forecast, today we got out and a really pleasant trip resulted. So before I say who, see if any one can guess. The two yachts pictured first had come over from Ireland (not giving anything away there as you can see the tricolour quite clearly /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The second picture should give some of you the clue as to where we were and probably who was the good wife!

Third one is obligatory ensign flying with wake /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif with 'Prince of Tides' in the background.

So go on, ahh gone on go on go on, as one of the lovely Irish colleens was saying to me last night at the 'Disco'

Well done though, Holyhead it was, and I did think of dropping in on you and Debboranne but I was all in this afternoon, jeez those Irish can party. Any way after reading about you entering the ploughing contest I sort of thought you were heading over to IOM ? Did I miss-read your post?
And Tom (Little Ship for those who do not know)

will make a good wife for some one, you should have seen him mixing up the dips for crackers and prawns, and he is a 'Good Old Boy' for the invite, had a great time even though the weather was out for Saturday, still it did not stop the Irish guys from sailing over on Friday night, when I got there just after 10 on Saturday Tom said they woke him at 6:30 and ask him to join them for a whiskie breakfast !

We were going to Glasson, then IOM, but the weather was crap. So in Conarfon where we met Searush, so jusxt chilling out in the sun.

I value my liver too much to go sailing off with those guys, as I said they broke out the Whiskey at 06:30 and did not stop all day. I drank more on Saturday than I have drunk since I married in 1986! But she is a beautiful craft, crewed by lovely folk. They were part of a 'squadron' that sailed over from Dublin four Irish boats and a Frenchman, you can just see her stern in the first photie, the 'Lady Salope' the French guy is off to the caribbean and called into Dublin to 'say goodbye' they said why not come over to Anglesey so they did.

And no the 'Hell Hounds' were not in residence so I was quite save !!!

when you left I had a phonecall from the Prince (The Black Pig) "wer'e in Conwy marina why dont you come over and eat with us this evening.......... and if you come a little early we could have a little drink before dinner"

I arrived at 18.00hrs and crashed out at 04.15 this morning /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif As you said "they are good company"

They had a man overboard from one of the fleet, hit by the boom and knocked into the water, he lost two teeth and has a couple of cuts to his face. Rescued within 10 mins and is OK but sore.............. very very lucky.

The Irish tend to wear their life jackets all the time (something I personally dont) and for this guy it probably saved his life. everybody commented on how high in the water he was when it inflated, it gave good visibility of him as he was lifted about a foot out of the water. Makes you think about this carefree hobby we have!

Anyway ..... good to have you on board and I'm sorry the weather on Saturday was crap! but Sunday made up for it, Iv'e had a fix and feel much better now!

PS I think the Fisher is a 39' she is used more than any other boat I know, Oh the joys of being retired!

It's a 37, believe me. I dream of them in my sleep and a forumite has bought the moulds to the 46' and built one.

It's an awful big boat for 37'........... I have been out sailing and stayed on that boat many times and I am now very surprised that it is 37' I always thought it was much bigger!
