Where to source mounting parts for autohelm 1000?

Just replace the plug and socket.

I have a secondhand autohelm 1000, but need the bits to mount it to the cockpit and attach to the rudder. Any idea wherei can source them?
As far as I can see I need a tiller pin and a mounting socket.

Only source I know of is a guy on ebay astra610s who bought up a lot of old Raymarine stock. One listing here.

maybe contact him and see if he has what you want. My also be other ebAy sources.

Tiller pin and deck socket on latest models is the same as the older ones so available from any raymarine dealers. Any plug and socket will do for power

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I am not talking about the sockets into which the end of the unit is inserted when it is being set up. I am talking about the electrical connexions which power the unit. I used the old (very old) Autohelm 1000 on my old boat which had a 3 pin socket installed in the cockpit to take the 3 pin plug which is at the end of the unit's cable.

Now I have a new (to me) boat and a new Autohelm. The new boat has a multi-pin socket which mates with the multi-pin plug at the end of the new(ish) unit. I had thought to install another 3 pin socket so that I could use the old Autohelm if necessary as a back up. But none of the local chandlers sell either the 3 pin or the multi-pin plugs or sockets, or indeed any electrical gear or spares for Autohelms at all, hence my enquiry.

You don't need an Autohelm socket, simply buy any waterproof 3-pin plug and socket, and replace the plug on the old Autohelm.

I had a similar problem with my Simrad TIller Pilot; I needed to replace the coaming mounted multi pin waterproof socket. Simrad could not help, so they are off my Christmas card list! But a forumite resolved the problem.

The socket is nothing more than a standard Bulgin Buccaneer series job with matching plug if needed- easy to connect and upgrade the older style plug you describe.

Can't remember where I bought mine but possibly from Farnell

(sigh) Maybe I should also mention the fact that the boat and I are both based in New Zealand and I have looked in every damn chandlery in Wellington for months for anything like what I need. However, with the name supplied, I have found a NZ distributor for Bulgin products, so will contact them next week. Thanks for that.

The same as Raymarine. I know this cos I replaced my autohelm 1000 with a tp1000. The size of the tiller pin is 1/4" dia and the deck socket is 3/8". I have seen them for sale at that chandlers near Port Solent (biggish one).

I kept the old autohelm as a spare but replaced the 3 pin plug with the same as supplied by Raymarine, which I don't remember as being alarmingly expensive.
