We're planning to visit Croatia & Montenegro next summer (mid-May to August), then returning to the Ionian via east coast Italy. We have a wedding to attend in Scotland on 21 July. Is there anywhere in the Adriatic to leave our 13.4m yacht for 5-7 days that's not going to be prohibitively expensive with reasonable airport access?

Any marina in Croatia will be exorbitantly expensive, especially in July. If you are returning via Italy after that it may be worth considering NE Italy for a layover, say Monfalcone, from where Ryanair have regular UK flights (Trieste). A previous thread on here discussed the various marinas there.

Another possible alternative would be Venice with plenty of flights from Marco Polo airport with some discount airlines also flying to nearby Treviso. Santelena marina is full with locals but July sees many of them cruising to Croatia and they are happy to accomodate visitors in the vacant berths.

As already informed on MedNet - Monfalcone. Everywhere else in the Adriatic will be prohibitively expensive and your chances of finding a speculative place very low.

One has the added ?benefit? of being able to fly Ryanair back from the local airport about 5' away by taxi.

Confirm Monfalcone (I live near there part of the year). When I first looked for a berth, I checked everywhere between Split and Venice, and Monfalcone is without doubt the cheapest. Also very competent and safe. Your best bet is Hannibal, but try also Nautec, Ocean and Cadei (these last three are in a channel which might not have sufficient draft: check.
