Hi
Looking for opinions on where abouts to jack up the trailer for winter storage.
To explain further, I have gone between placing the axle stands on each side of the axle itself and on the rear sub frames at the back.
When doing the latter, I worry that there is too much pressure or weight on the rear and it may sag in the middle. With the former, I feel I am only really jacking up on the suspension and causing stress on that !
What do we think ?
Thanks

Personally, I only jack up the trailer to change a tire or some other work. My boat is relatively small runabout with only a single axle.
If there is no jack point marked.
I would to use the axle or where the springs attach to the frame. My logic being weight is intended to be supported where the springs attach. I like to use a big floor jack, with some wood under an axle and put stands under the spring attachment.

Thanks
Mine too is a single axle rated for 1300kgs.
The boat is around this weight though and the trailer is an sbs with the sealed bearings (which are expensive to replace). I've always liked to jack the trailer up over the winter to save undue load on the bearings...especially in the one spot or position.
I see what you are saying about where to put the axle stands and probably agree. The only slight disadvantage and the reason I have placed them further rear on occasion, is that if you want to go into the boat (usually from the rear), it's very unstable and likely to tip rearwards and into the outdrive.

It is also wise to take wheels off and store in dry place if possible, but if not raise them off the ground

Take the load off the springs, tires and bearings at the end of each season, especially leaf springs. Once the springs are relaxed, spray a good quality lanolin based protectorant into and around the springs, particularly if you have been immersing the trailer in seawater.
I have a heavy combination so layer timber railway sleepers both under the rear and front of the trailer frame to take most of the weight so jack stands don't dent the frame and erode galvanising.
