I need some (well about 100m of 9mm, and various other stuff) line.

My dad was a skilled rope worker at one point, so knows how to do what needs doing to them! So i just need it off the roll.

Any good siteso or are normal chandlers best?

I used to do climbing, and have 50m of dynamic (not going to use this!!) and 45m of 8mm of mammut walking rope which is rated, non dynamic and as far as I know, dyneema based, would this do for some of it?

What is on a roll? Would it be worth buying a roll from the manufactureres and keeping it for the next time it gets replaced? Or would anyone want to go halves/thirds on a roll...

Im guessing there might be 2000m on a roll though!!

hehe

If you go direct to Liros, you can normally buy complete reels at reduced prices. quantity will probably depend on rope diameter.

Type of rope required in a boaty environment totally depends on use (i.e. where you will be using it, what it will be used for, and how hard you will be using it! Jimmy Green has some good guides.
