Where to celebrate N Yrs eve afloat?

If all goes to plan next fri we will be afloat.
I am looking at where we may celebrate New Yrs eve. Any sensible suggestions, I seem to recall reading posts mentioning fireworks at a marina on the ROrwell.
Will need to sell this to the family so good craic and some entertainment would be good.
Winter weather and conditions will probably keep us tucked up in the R Orwell but open to some serious suggestions, ie Oostende will have to wait until later on!

There is usually a firework display at Harwich Halfpenny Quay. Good view from Shotley Marina side of river.

If the weather conditions are settled then stopping the night at the Halfpenny Quay should be viable option if Shotley doesn't appeal. (When we did this a couple of years back the fireworks were launched from a barge in the middle of the river rather than the quay itself)
