I'd avoid polythene of any type - it's flexible and will add next to nothing to the strength of the mounting. As mentioned above, laminate your own then bond them in place using resin mixed to a paste with filler, clamping till cured.

Cut your laminate to shape using a hacksaw or metal-cutting jigsaw blade. Before bonding, abrade both surfaces thoroughly. Forget the popular bull**** about having to use epoxy.

I'm trying to source some of these at the moment as well. So far only found someone to make from G10 epoxy board and they wanted between £50 and £80 each! :eek-new:
