Where is your main cruise taking you this seaso

We did the Californian put it in a slipway on lock like not sure of spelling on a camp site they let us leave car n trailer very cheap the swimming in that lock was great ,some great trips so far on this thread

Our planned cruise is tame compared to most of you guys, but it's a big deal to us as our first 'real' cruise in our MF645.

Torquay - Salcombe - Plymouth - Falmouth - Plymouth - Dartmouth - Torquay. We're taking two weeks to do it so plenty of time for exploring.

You're missing out Fowey? And visiting Plymouth twice! Why not save a few miles and try the Yealm, you won't be disappointed.

I am going off from estopnia upto gib then back Dow the costa del sol and Costa blanca with various stops to Moravia or denia. Then back to UK to make a few more coins for a couple of months then I'm going round the Balearics. Can't wait

Came out of the river at Kings Lynn and into the Wash and turned right for the whole summer last year...... Will probably do the same, but turn left this year.

Greystones is good distance from the city centre.
Dun Laoighre, Howth or Malahide are closer to the city and better served by buses and DART(rail)

Dun Laoighre was eye wateringly expensive when we were there, but things might have settled down now. Handy for town and the airport with The Dart.
Ask about the tickets, there were odd deals that made it quite cheap.

House move and associated works means that boating is going to be curtailed this year but did East Coast and Holland last year so can't complain. Still managed a few days on a trip to Southwold already this year and got a week or so pencilled in for August on the East Coast (house permitting) so maybe not a complete write off for boating. Lucky enough to be twenty mins from the boat so the odd night aboard here and there will help.

Ooops, yes I missed out Fowey, and I'll look into the Yealm also instead of a double Plymouth. That's just one thing that I love about this forum, the help and advice is second to none!

We are getting trailed up, lifted off the trailer at Inverness Marina (no slipway which is a bit daft!) and then only staying there for the one evening before heading onto the Caledonian.

It is only a brief pit stop to refuel and get the boat cleaned up after an 8-10 hour tow!

LOL ... it will be clear why no slipway when you see the marina ... There is a slipway just across the bridge at North Kessock run by the community there... but not sure about the condition etc.

Which one would you recommend, there will be four of us, two are kids aged 10 and 8?
Howth or Malahide. Malahide has restricted entry to marina but it is not difficult.
Handy for shopping in Swords (route 102) good pubs and restuarants and has the Castle nearby with plenty of room and big playground for children. Rail and bus access to city are also available. Busy at weekends as popular with locals and visitiors.
Howth has easy 24hrs access and links to city but less to do for children...Both have beaches nearby.
Not familiar with Dun Laoghire as it is on the other side of city and is very residential with access to city by bus and rail.
Greystones is further south so not at all familiar with that area.

The guy who is taking us up has a return load from Inverness marina sorted out so we happy to have the boat lifted off the trailer there rather then have him driving across to drop us off on the tide and then come back for his next load.

To be honest I should imagine by the time we get up there and off loaded we will have had enough anyway and be ready to just get on a pontoon and take a break!
