Thanks Chris - now in my little black book as a possible stopover from Leros to Santorini next Spring.
Dont suppose you can get many boats swinging in there though :)

Bingo! Wonderfull place - was blowing a hooly from the north.

How is the guy living there? when we passed through in June, his Dad had just died - they were doing so much to the place and I wondered what had happened to him.

We were only there for a night, en route to Leros, so didn't go ashore. Very tight anchorage, even with only us and a fishing boat! Beautiful place though.

My husband has decided that his prize is to put the next 'where is it' up. Watch this space!

Wouldn't want to be there in a southerly.
Its a very tight anchorage. There is a mooring buoy near the top but there is really not enough room to swing. The wind kept us in place. You would need to have shore lines out either side or a kedge to hold the stern in the middle.

Are you in Leros Marina?

Our boat is and I wish I was too ....
We kept Affinite II (Feeling 346) there for a couple of seasons and now have Canopus (Moody 44) based there.
Probably heading North though next year.
I quite like this "where is this game" - agree with NornaBiron - winner should post the next pic
Regards

If you're heading north next year, can recommend the Eastern Sporades, Lesvos and Limnos are lovely. Samothraki is definitely worth a visit but a bit off the beaten track. Unless you have a reason to visit a city I wouldn't go to Alexandropoulos again, not worth the effort and not at all welcoming. The rest of the northern Aegean coast is mosquito heaven and not much to see, unless you're there early and are into bird watching. If we were to do the trip again we'd go from Samothraki direct to Thassos. Halkidiki is beautiful and the northern Sporades are well worth a visit.

I was planning a similar trip though we are not on board for as long, so a circular trip mid may to end June arriving back Leros in July. I think.....

Vyv, thanks for that - most useful for planning.

We will need to include an aerodrome on the way for a crew change but there are several available - but perhaps means a visit to Mykonos uuughh!
