has anybody got any idea where is the best place to sell my Sadler 29 Surlesel. I have now got a Southerly105 which I am desperate to get in the water but I need to sell the Sadler first. She is immaculate with just about new everything! eg sails, stacking system, prop, . She has espacher heating all anti-fouled up and ready to go she is on with Yacht market and boats and outboards, we have even dropped the price from £27,000 to £19,950 any other selling suggestions would be of great help

Sounds like a good price. Try Boatsandoutboards.co.uk I've sold a couple of boats via this site but you'll get a few scams offering to pay the asking price without viewing etc etc. I did a fairly comprehensive inventory list with all recent history then if any anyone showed further interest then I mailed them a four A4 sheets with all information, service history, mods and updates plus a CD with lots of photos. I sold within a couple of weeks. Buyer paid by bank transfer and shipped it up to Scotland! Very pleased but do watch out for scams!

When I was looking for our present boat, I knew what I wanted and bought all the mags and scanned the private ads. Bought privately with no problems. Did look at a couple of boats being sold by a broker but they were dirty, unkempt and expensive so didn't bother with looking at any other broker's boats. Your boat sounds like a bargain - pity I am not after one. Best of luck though.

Mike Lucas Yachting is your best bet. We bought and sold our Sadler 29 through him and he was spot on. Because he is a Sadler specialist ( he used to work for them) he is often the first port of call for people buying and selling so he has a comprehensive datbase of clients plus a pretty good knowledge of individual boats. If you are looking for a quick and hassle free selling ( or buying) experience I can recommend him.

Although Sadlers are in demand you may find that a DIY selling process might cost you more in the long run , unless you fall in with some buyers from over the water waving fistfuls of Euros and taking advantage of our parlous Pound.

Bit of a hard question, you just have to be in the particular place that your buyer-to-be will look.
In the case of my Sadler 29, it was the Auto-Trader website! Advertised on Tuesday, a response on Thursday, and deposit in my pocket the following Monday.
At the price you are asking, with your description of her, the boat's a bargain.

Apollo Duck are good and I also used Yachtsnet who charge low rates and take superb piccies, which I think is very important. My boat was sold within a month thru' Apollo Duck but Yachtsnet had people lined up to view and that was in January.
