Not the usual question, because the answer will be known to most people, but I remember someone telling me that this plaque has been moved. Is this so? And if so, where is it?
The inscription appears to say:
"This building and quay was (sic) erected by the governors of Guy's Hospital 1832 ?? Harrison Esq treasurer. The stone used in the quay formed part of London Bridge built about 1176"

Well its certainly been moved, some years ago. No idea where it is now and would also be interested to know. Nice spot - in my days of wooden boats I used to lay up in a mud berth next to the SB 'Rose' (after taking the mast out).

Yes, it's Beaumont Quay, and I had found the same website. My photo was taken about seven years ago and I rather assumed that the plaque had been put in a museum somewhere, though maybe my confidence was misplaced. I must drive round and have a look, though the approach by water is much nicer. The plaque as you say was on a barn nearby, as in my photo.
