That well-known inland boating lake - Cardiff, just along from the Opera House, towards the Roath Basin, and adjacent to the Information Centre.
It's a sculpture, depicting the heroic struggle of the impoverished artist to wrestle tens of thousands of filthy English pound notes from the fat cats in the derided English Arts Council.

It's the Merchant Navy Memorial which commemorates the sacrifice of the Merchant Navy operating from the ports of South Wales in the First and Second World Wars.
As these things go, I thought it very poigniant. Much better than a lump of stone in some weird shape - It at least looks like some work has gone into it.
