Mull is correct and the photo is looking west from which mainland anchorage?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nice pic.
Puilldobhrain? Easdale? Or possibly behind Shuna Island Loch Linnhe? But the angle of Ben More looks like it's taken from more to the south, and that looks like a dark island (or something) low in the foreground? Somewhere in Loch Melfort or Loch Shuna?!!!

Puilldobhrain it is - looking across to Mull sipping a single malt last summer.
Well done.
[/ QUOTE ]Only a "single" I normally have at least trebles or quadruples and even then I'll have few of those - I hate opening a bottle of good malt and leaving any in the bottle - 'tis considered bad luck in some circles - once open, the bottle just has to be finished in one sitting and the empty offered as a gift to Poseidon

Cliff - please note that the word "single" refers to the quality not quantity of the malt - ie a malt whisky is one that comes from one malt distillery and is not a blend of malt and grain whisky.
The whisky in question that night was a 12 year old Bunnahabhain if I recall. As to the quantity - well lets say there was more than one consumed following a meal at the Tigh an Truish. Anyone who knows Puilldobhrain will know the hostelry referred to.
