Walked past Hurley and downstream towards Marlow.

In a 90 minute walk we saw 2 boats moving, a narrow boat and a vintage wooden day boat

Spoke to the Lock Keeper at Hurley and he said it was dead today, no-one around yet it is peak summer holiday season.

Both locks were fully manned with keepers chatting to walkers passing by
 
Perhaps everyone's put off by dire warnings from EA - all shut in, sandbags threatened, leave locks (when unattended) as most folks do anyway. Total river closure while EA and friends frolic around for some undisclosed project.
That is of course, if anyone actually reads EA notices....

Doomed etc.

Perhaps the threat and actuality of high temperatures has put people off - well it did put off My Management (and on reflection, me also).

Or mebe the fright of some dodgy car park company demanding extortionate fees...
