This time last year we was getting ready for the YBW Forum Gathering in Cowes which was a fantastic weekend enjoyed by all who attended as per the video link below

I know the feeling, the year seems to have flown by!

As this has been our first full season there have been many highlights, from making new friends to learning new skills - Volvopaul deserves a big thank you as his reassuring advice / help to a couple of my questions on the green monsters has kept our boat ticking along nicely.

I think the biggest pleasure I get is that my family now have the boating bug as much as myself, and every weekend feels like quality time together (pass the sick bucket I know haha).

Below is a picture of us entering Sharpness lock pierheads.

This has definitely been my best year boating, in regards to enjoyment / sharing with others / time spent on-board.

I think over the summer months (which I consider April - September), we spent pretty much every weekend on the boat. Having a bit more space also meant we often had guests (which we love) so felt like a very sociable year.

Bit of a stellar year for boating for us. No single thing stands out but two successful cruises (East Coast end of May with NYA) and the non-tidal Thames and East Coast in July/August) with no weather dramas supplemented by lots of sociable stuff on the rivers made it one to remember. Just hope that we haven't used up all our luck........
