Where does this plastic cover go? Kad300 (pics)

Fumbling around the engine bay today and this knocked on the floor. I was moving about the port side (starter / intercooler) side of the KAD300.

Terrible pics sorry, bad lighting :/

Any ideas??

Looks like the insulating cover for the main positive terminal for the alternator, or somewhere similar

It clips over the wire and onto an over sized washer on the terminal.

If the alternator has been changed very likely the oversized washer has not been refitted and the cover is then not secure and easily knocked off even if it does not fall off.

There was one on my car until a local garage fitted a new alternator and the cover vanished. I complained and they had to make one from a spark plug boot. Years later I found the missing cover lodged somewhere
