Where can I get....

Alistair - I am heartened to see you take my problem seriously! I have looked at that site and the smallest of the units looks just what I want.....then I saw the price. Ouch!!

Not being ungrateful but do have any other ideas??

Well, Having a wee boat, with nae fridge, while we are moored or in the marina, we simply put the beer in a good solid carrier bag, tie a line to it, place it in the water at the stern of the boat, and tie it to the rear cleat Securely.

The last part being VERY important./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

There is another company, that specializes in Traval Fridges, but the name escapes me, I'm sure i have there catalogue at home somewhere, i'll look later and let you know tomorrow.

Dave,
I've just seen an electric cool-box in Halfords. A small one for £35 & a bigger one for £59. (both 12V with optional mains converter @ £25) Probably big enough for a few essentials and lots of beer.
Cheers
Stuart

Is it the complete unit you need? or just the peltier element?

Maplin/rs etc used to sell the elements, I think I've still got a 50W one if any use.

Hi Andy - the unit kind of works occasionally and the fan still rotates and the unit does get cold so I guess the peltier is working but the regulator and fast cold switch are not. Please PM me with exact details of what you have. At 50W it sounds like it could work and I may live without a regulator. If its the right thing, what would you want for it? Cheers.
