where can I get Orange TKO

I've been on a number of forums looking for a good cleaner / degreaser for the bilge and general cleaning on the boat. There are a number of recommendations for Orange TKO
claiming it is environment friendly, bio-degradable, non toxic etc etc. All the forums I've been on rave about its qualities BUT I can't seem to be able to find a supplier over here. I can get it in the USA but not here. Does anyone know if it's as good as made out to be and if you can get it in the UK ??

Don't think you'll find it in the UK. Why not use something like Bilgex instead?

Hi pvb, thanks for that. I liked the idea of the Orange TKO being envoronment friendly, etc and the reported pleasant smell. If you can't get it over here I'll take a look at Bilgex

Don't know what is in Bligex, but on here someone recommended caustic soda £1 from pound shops (danger - this is very caustic) NaOH, for de-greasing their oven.

Citric acid - other end of pH scale (sort of) is used in jam making and used as a descaler so I don't figure that will work even though it is not dangerous like NaOH, but ask Vic or one of the other clever guys on here and see if very diluted caustic soda would work - I'm guessing it would be too dangerous. Very good at unblocking drains though and cheaper than Supermarket stuff.

Just look for any citrus degreaser, such as Viro-Sol or Citrus Degreaser from Clover Chemicals.

Several of the Clyde chandlers (Duncans, Kip, Largs) sell an environmentally friendly citrus based cleaner; it seems to work as well as anything!
