I have these plastic knobs that go onto a 10mm thread and screw down to lock the window. One of them has lost its cover. I am having great difficulty finding a replacement. I can find lots of other kinds of knob but this one. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I have contacted Oyster, and await a reply. From past experience the cost of a small part bought from Oyster is often considerably more that the same thing found on eBay or similar. These knobs are very similar to the knobs on the gebo portlight, so that is another avenue of investigation

I have gebo port lights and yes they are similar but not the same. If i remember correctly the gebo ones are M8 not M10 and the cover looks different being black with a coloured ring, blue in my case, around the edge of the cover.

Do you know the manufacturer of the port lights as that may be a more economic option.

RS Components have a wide range of knobs in various styles and thread sizes. I've used appropriate ones from their range as a cheaper alternative to very expensive Gebo replacement knobs in the past.

Here you go mate. it's got a stainless insert. Looks just the ticket. £1.83 each:

They can do your gas struts and misc associated parts too.

(Related issue) Let us know if you source the Gebo ones. I wasted a lot of money replacing a few with Gebo originals. The blasted things are corrosion magnets.

In case anyone is interested

Oyster aftersales could supply a single knob for £16.23 + VAT + shipping

Seaglaze could supply a kit with 2 knobs and washer £47 + VAT + delivery

WDS has the knobs for £1.83 + VAT + delivery. In fact the delivery by courier cost more than the knob so went mad and ordered two for a £9.37 incl VAT and courier delivery

Thanks again to Babylon to pointing me to WDS
