Hi All,
I have a Nasa Marine Target2 Log. I fitted it last year and when I lifted the boat out in October part of the thru hull had broken away. I suspect I should not have used sikaflex to bed it in as i subsequently read that it can make some plastics brittle and only silicon sealant should be used.
Anyway, I'd like to replace it with a metal thru-hull. Would Bronze be the best choice?
Does anyone know a supplier of bronze thru-hulls that are the correct size, thread etc. for the Nasa Target log impeller.
...and I'd be grateful for any tips on how to remove an impeller thru-hull that has been bedded with sikaflex.
Thanks,
Mark.
