At home in the office trying to sop the cat chasing the mouse around the screen.
What is it with cats and Pc's why do they sit in front of you on the table staring at the screen & then you can't see and what do you do......... you move to the side to peer over their shoulder rather than shooing them off or is it just me ...having a blonde moment?

Having lunch at desk (a meat pie and pack of crisps of course - it's Friday) overlooking Auckland's Viaduct Harbour...... can see Lion New Zealand (of Peter Blake era) and Symmetry, a stunning new 97ft Frers just launched last week for a US owner (owns half of Avis or something), just had it's 120ft stick stuck in, off towards the Carribean soon. Can't wait for 4.30pm when I'm off down to my new toy to sail her around to new berth at Gulf Harbour tomorrow (weather permitting - which means as long as the 50kt 'breeze' isn't coming from the north).

Auckland, the City of Gales.

Sat in the office in San Jose, California, trying to tie up the last loose ends before my flight back tomorrow. Will probably end up going for sushi shortly at a delightful place in Mountain View...

Unseasonably warm here, guess I need to wrap up before my return?

Re: Rob .. what

A Lidgard 35 - I can email you a pic if you like. Not a blue water cruiser but a great fast cruiser for the Gulf and maybe up to the islands - was running out of time for this season and just wanted to get afloat. WIll rethink the long-term cruising boat at leisure next year and maybe trade up the Lidgard then. So your plans are not completely wasted!

In my office at home in Trieste (can't see the sea, though, but I can walk to the boat - just half a mile), sharing chair with cat gazing out at the grey sky and thinking that I really should be working.

At home in Somerset about to go and check my cradle (for the 3rd. time) as our club lift out is on Monday morning and it is my first time lifting my newly-finished long keel yacht. Will the strop slip up sloping front of keel ? Will I catch rudder instead of aft end of keel ? Yes I do know where strops should go - I did mark it on hull, but when they are under 4ft. of Bristol Channel water/mud they are well out of sight.
Wish me luck !
