Where should a solent yachtie go for his annual holiday South, West or East.
Yup it's that time of year again I have two weeks and two days booked off work in july and not sure which direction to head in. For the last 5 years we have done the CI's and North Brittany coast. But want to see some new places this year.
We have never been round the corner into south west brittany, never been further east than Chichester and never been further west than Falmouth.
With the family on board I make the point of not doing night passages and anything longer than a 16hour passage. I draw 2 metres and plot at 6 knots if planning passages.
I quite fancy going to cork and the scillies but only keen if there is a high pressure system present. and wondering if it's too far for a 2 week holiday or should I make a positive effort to get to sw Brittany this year.
Any advice most welcome....
