Cracking photo. And yes, leaving Peel, past Fenella. And a pox on the bedwetting civil servants who approved a low level car park barrier there. Presumably to save Peel from the peril of old couples enjoying a cup of tea, whilst watching the sea from their van?

I had already been spoilt with quite a few dressed crabs on the trip, so a crab sandwich did not appeal. However in Newlyn I went to the Red Lion pub to try the recommended crab soup.

Why no AIS so that we can stalk your voyages?

I have considered AIS, but my conclusion was I sail in relatively sparse waters for commercial shipping and having sailed for half a century without AIS I cannot see the pressing need to fit a receiver let alone one that transmits.

Alas when I went to buy some from the smokery close to the marina, it was closed. The kippers I bought in Lerwick and Portaferry were excellent.
