I don't think we've been there for over ten years, but I agree. More recently, when bound for Amsterdam from the east, we have tended to stay at the small YC between the bridge and the Oranjesluis. There's not much there but it is friendly and cheap and it makes a useful hopping-off point to enter the Sixhaven mid-morning. as the first boats leave.
