I don't know, but it must have been a good do. Where do you last remember being? Does your wristwatch match the hotel clock?

You know, I've often asked my self the same question, and I'm sure we all have in the past, haven't we? But God knows where we are and why were here, even if we can't make sense of the credit card slips in our purses and wallets. And that's my message this glorious Sunday. We may be confused about where and why, and even sometimes who we are if the sherry was especially strong, but we can relax in the sure and certain knowledge that we are part of a greater plan, and our presence in this particular gutter, at this particular time is as inevitable as that of the tit playing with our nuts in the garden, as the shag eating an old trout on the pierhead and as the beaver enjoying a good scratch in the morning sun. And now, let us lift our voices together in that lovely hymn "By the waters of Babylon" or should that by the waters of the Vistula?

Psalm 137

1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.

2 There on the poplars
we hung our harps,

3 for there our captors asked us for songs,
our tormentors demanded songs of joy;
they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"

4 How can we sing the songs of the LORD
while in a foreign land?

5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
may my right hand forget its skill .

6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
if I do not remember you,
if I do not consider Jerusalem
my highest joy.

7 Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did
on the day Jerusalem fell.
"Tear it down," they cried,
"tear it down to its foundations!"

8 O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is he who repays you
for what you have done to us-

9 he who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks.

Yep, was a good do. Other peoples wine & canapes alway taste better, although it could be argued that I paid an arm & a leg for the ones at this do /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Must admit, I thought this might only last a few seconds /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here's another clue, but I'm looking for a specific answer in return /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Okay, physically you are at 51 degrees 29' 57.5" N 0 degrees 7' 26.2" W, on the House of Commons Terrace. You are probably also in other people's bad books for taking pix when you should have been mingling...
