When does your cruising season start?

Smug passage report.

Sailed up to the Saintes off Guadeloupe today leaving Dominica in a pair of shorts and 27 c or 80f.

Got splashed two or three times on passage as it was blowing 20 - 25 at times and a biggish swell was runiing but who cares as the water temp is the same at 27c.

Ours will start just as soon as I get my USA permanent residents visa and the house here in the UK is sold. After that, what are seasons? We will be Florida based and on board 24/7 x 365, unless we have to take a week out for a hurricane to pass by, otherwise aside from switching aircon over to heat maybe three or four nights in winter we can cruise all year. We might miss the ideal time to head out to the Bahamas, Abacos, Turks and Caicos this year but can still cruise locally which is all new territory anyway and hey I can live with a delay to next winter. Current temps are between 75F and 82F in the day and mid 60'sF at night.
