Re: Whaur\'s Teaky gone .. and whit aboot yon Cherbourg trip

TK seems to have disappeared, presumably with a very fat wallet, after his article in YM lambasting AWB designers.

We are planning our trip to Cherbourg on the assumption that it will be 24th - 26th September.

Second assumption is that our new donkey will be well tried and tested before then.

I have agreed to organise the meal and have had conversations with restaurants. Have been waiting for confirmation of the date and a better idea of numbers.

Re: Ahem ....

Given A level results today, and daughter's impending move to uni,I'm assuming on either of the other weekends will be the one that BlusterBen selects!

Was also wondering. Heard a rumour there's a fair price being offered on his heed by Baron von Gateaux of the Schwarzwald, MD of Bavaria yachts and same by Monsieur Gouvernail de Direction Lâche of Jeanneu. Apparently they are poring over satellite images of the S Coast looking for a boat with non-recent signs of deck removal...

Re: Been there ..

My lads going to study Aerospace engineering at Bristol. 4 year course, so I will be penniless for 4 years or more.

Nick I don't think many spondulicks are received from articles like Ken's - miles below DT rates, for example. Course, YM and PBO are stacked with ads so you might wonder where the ackers are going. All we can say for sure is the writers ain't getting it! what I want to know is why they have to use a photo that makes him look like Ken Walrus. In life he's a handsome (ish) chap.

Agree and disagree.

I'm sure you are right about the payment - Herzberg's theory is right in this case - people prefer job satisfaction to money.

Not so sure about 'handsome'. 0500 mid-Channel in October, the Hunchback of Notre Dame springs to mind !!
