What I like to do is to turn the engine off on the tender, and just let the wind blow it up or down the upper reaches of the river, preferably holding a glass of wine at the same time. It's a very good antidote to Federated Identity Management.

East Head on a nice Summer's evening after everyone has gone home. It goes from tangled anchor chains to solitude in about an hour - amazing. Take the tender to the beach. Go for a walk and then back to the boat to sit and watch the sun go down

Kingswear.
Wish it wasn't so far from home, the solent is only 1 hr 10 minutes so she's there at the moment.......

Scaryport /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, oops Maryport /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif for berthing, Whitehaven for a quick visit then Troon /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. If you have never been to troon you need to go just for Scotts overlooking the marina and the food..... how this has never come up with a mitchelin star or two.
But you can't go past Douglas, great place to go, see and enjoy.
However we holiday in Poole, and sail from Largs and Hamble
