"Het had ook kunnen regenen"

roughly translated: "Just remember: it could have been raining as well"

Works great to cheer up a crew in the middle of the night when the last four hours water has been pouring from the sky.

But it is also great to remind the crew on a great sailing day that they should enjoy the moment.

On the old boat (no heads) "would you like to stear while I have a pee over the back"
On the new boat (heads fitted) "good ere init"
At home " yes luv, i'll do it when I retire" - with 51 weeks and 1day to go I am starting to say that less often!!

Siamese national anthem

OK Powerskipper sing along after me...

When on my boat I like to sing the Siamese national anthem, old colonial that I am.

Its easy, and you can try this with your students. All you need to know is the tune to the British national anthem...got that?

And then you add the following words that fit directly to our national anthem. Like this... try it...

Oh Wah Tah Nah Siam / Oh Wah Tah Nah Siam / Oh Wah Tah Nah...etc...

Now sing along /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
