Whats your favourite bit of kit you have bought that makes life easier

I've only ever read bad reports of those expanding hose pipes ... leaking after using twice and so on .... anyone tell me different, please? I don't want to get one if they're rubbish!

I nearly put mine down as my favourite bit of kit. I've had one of these on board for 2 seasons and its been excellent.

The only slight issue I've had is that when the water pressure is low, the hose doesn't fully expand and the flow pulses a bit but otherwise I've been very pleased with it

There are many similar products out there on the market but don't buy cheap. With these things you get what you pay for

Yep, that's the same one I have Mike. I agree it restricts the flow a bit, so takes longer to fill the water tank etc. but it's a small price to pay for the convenience of them.

Also, buy at least 20% longer than you need, as they don't reach full length with lower water pressure

I'm a right sucker for this type of stuff. That's the xhose 75ft version ordered and a Andrew James coffee maker! ive got the smaller xhose in the garage that I've had for about 5 months. Still working!

These are the best things that we have ever bought for our boating.

Folding electric bikes.

We bought two about 6 or 7 years ago.
We also bought some ordinary folding push bikes for when visitors came out but we always ended up giving the electric ones to the visitors.
So a couple of years ago, we bought two more of these electric bikes.
After 6 or 7 years, the original batteries are just beginning to become "past it" but the bikes are still going well so I plan to buy a couple more batteries for next season.

Four of us arrived back from Whitelighter's delivery trip last weekend and whilst the other three were washing the boat down, I assembled the four bikes.
We then went off round the town and eventually used them to go out for dinner.
Just ask those guys - these bikes are and definitely have been a great addition to our boating times.

These bikes are amazing. When It was suggested we go out on the electric bikes I thought they'd be a bit ploddy but they are fantastic - and really good fun.

I can really see the value of having them on a cruising boat - they really reduce your need on taxis or other transport when arriving in ports or as mike has shown just moving around your home town.

I think we will probably put something similar in our cruising wish list in time

I seem to remember reading about some e-bikes being illegal in Spain.
Probably never get 'done' for using them but might be worth researching the regs, just to be aware.

Beretta 92, what else?
"Inox" version, of course. A tad more expensive, but with its s/steel parts, it's just the ticket in a sea environment. :encouragement:

Nice gun :encouragement: Would prefer an SV Infinity though ;)

Not a Beretta fan I'm afraid - Sig P226 or P228 for me, though something rather longer is needed for much other that a status symbol.
