Thanks for the reply. My lifeboat only drwas 3ft 6 inches fully loaded and can take the ground, IF it's not problematic, like old pilings. I'm going to spend some time surveying the site at low tide, so will see what the Condor ferry does in wake terms. I would probably use 2 anchors to avoid the risk of drying out on top of my own anchor if it failed to dig in far enough. The hull is an alloy composite and can be dented!
