What's this?

They are lined up suspiciously with those upper rod holders.
Some sort of removable rod base supports?

Can you ask the previous owner?

Maybe supports for some kind of cockpit shade thing
That's what I would guess M, rather than fishing gear of some sort.
Not because I can tell you exactly what those specific things are or how they works, but because I've seen in several Ferrettis of that era extension tubes overhanging from the stern side of the f/b, meant to support some shading covers - in fact, the f/b itself is a tad too short to cover the whole cockpit.
And some of these structures were made with vertical poles supporting the upper part.
I have pics of one of them, but not being my boat I'd rather not post it on a public webpage.
If you wish to have a look I can email them to you, but in that case the poles were attached differently.
Just made me wonder if also in your boat the previous owner had something fabricated for the same purpose.
By chance, is there anything similar also somewhere on the stern part of the f/b?

?

That would be great thanks, if you have a spare mo

On the FB there are 2 holders (which I thought were rod holders) and 2 'eyes' on the radar arch in a similar location - all could be connected. A shade would be useful as on our mooring the stern faces quite west so extra shade in the PM would be pleasant

Do you think they might have been put there to fill in unsightly holes left by someone removing davits in the past ?

Fun apart... They look as if they are locating devices for something exerting a vertical downward pressure, not a serious rotary or lateral/horizontal force. The rubber buttons serve to make a soft contact and prevent chattering, metal against metal. I'll follow the suggestions for devices to locate stanchions for a cover for the aft deck.

What ever they are treasure them. After searching the internet there is not a company in the world manufacturing them
