I supose the smallest would be a RIB or the Avour committee boat at our sailing club.
The largest would be our P67
But I once (?0 years ago) took the helm in big seas in the Bay of Biscay of the RMAS St Margarets - a RN reserve - ex cable laying ship.

Smallest was my first boat - a 14ft Fletcher. Largest? Princess 23m. I have sat at the helm of Redjet 4 and the Fastcat to Ryde, but don't count that, nor the Portsmouth ferry across to Fishbourne. Have stood by the helm of HMS York, but then she was moored up in Pompey Harbour so that don't count either /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Smallest would be one of those electric powered doughnuts that you sometimes see in an amusement park - I guess they are about 6 foot diameter.
