What's the proper name for button backs ?

Hi guys , the way boat cushions are normally done , pulled in with buttons I believe it's called tufting?

Opposite the buttons to the rear are plastic discs with an open hook to catch the loop of string that's on the button. Anyone know what these are called ?

Need to order some replacements up , struggling to find them no doubt because I'm not searching the correct name

You are correct, normally button backs wire eyes !

Have a look on the Hawke House website, that's where I got them from, but it was 20 years ago so I can't remember what they were called. HH covered plastic buttons with my fabric as well. Always go for plastic so they don't corrode.
