For me, it was this one! "DB9" a 'Palmer Johnson PJ-170'

A couple of years ago it was heading towards Hythe coming up the western Solent at 30 knots, Yep, just cruising along, the bow shape and cut through the water was nothing less than majestic and almost exactly the same as a destroyer. We came along side to see a 'Bond' girl on the rear deck looking very . We gave them the Houston salute but they just steamed on.

I found this video on the charter site and at 1 minute in you'll see what I mean about its performance and elegance. Of course, on this forum many would say it was ugly but as always this is in the eye of the beholder.

For me it was absolutely captivating.

The most impressive boat I've seen was in Mallorca when we were passed by the King of Spain's 136ft motor yacht, Fortuna. This monster is capable of 68knots and it certainly went past us as if we were standing still. Awesome thing. Pity that he has been shamed into giving up the yacht in sympathy for the economic crisis in Spain

Her Maj cruised past me off Calshot

Not the most impressive private Motor yacht I've seen Roger but..........

This summer, this was exiting Southampton Docks, as we were approaching, thought better to keep well to port:D

First shot, sliding down hill towards us, second, uphill, third, nearly got it right!

Epervier, katara is the Qatari ruler's boat. Sort of phonetic pun I think

Pinnacle, small world, I'm looking right across at Dilbar as I type this

Roger I dunno. All time favourite is probably Maltese falcon but Mirabella V is up there. Of this year's new launches it has to be Lady Gu which looked stunning in the flesh, plus inoui ( the new vitters built by the guy who built Gliss) which is gorgeous

Dilbar is a monster, not the biggest as you know but certainly holds her own!

There is something about Leander that I love it could be the old tub itself or the fact that Sir Don lives down the road and loves to pop into the local boozer for a pint of Pride.

It wont be long before we see the 600 foot job afloat and that IS cruise ship territory ...
