In my P32 I have only experienced a bit of chop between Lowestoft and Gt. Yarmouth, but then I have only one season under my belt and most of it was on the Broads.
In a previous life I saw some bloody awful weather. As a Sea Cadet I was on a minesweeper on passage from Southhampton to Liverpool - Force 10 all the way, Skipper orderered abandon ship at one point but quickly retracted as we came upright again - sick as a dog for the duration but still joined the Navy!!
On another occaision in the bay of Biscay I was almost swept overboard from an aircraft carrier - I was 'lifebouy spook' when the quarterdeck went underwater and the water came up to shoulder level - fantastic sight as the green water, with sun shining thorugh it, came in the openings - watch on deck came a runnin' thinking we were over the side.
Worst passage was between Ayr and Belfast - veeery rough and in a smallish ship - then fiance (now SWMBO) was on board and was sick everywher. She vowed never to return to sea so getting our boat has taken some time and a little persuasion!
