Sold my boat.

No current intention to buy another, at least not for the moment, but never say never.

And yet, I still have plenty of ill-formed and other opinions on many marine-related subjects. :D

So, may I continue to infest this forum?

stick around. We have intermittent need of your special professional skills, and the forum will keep you in touch with the pleasures (Ho! Ho!) of owning a boat. I give you 12 months before the words "broker", "advert" and "test drive" become part of your vocabulary again. :)

Thanks all, especially JonM. It means a lot to keep in touch with all things boaty. It may not be a permanent absence from ownership!

Congratulations! We're going to have to find a new venue for beers...

... and yes, please do stick around. This place would be poorer without you.

Don't be silly, bjb, you must stay. Since when did not owning a boat stop anyone from posting on here:D:D

Every small contribution to the forums is a well received contribution, and by staying on the forums you may want to buy another boat sooner than later! so stick with us! the boating family never looses a member!

Ooh stick around BJB. Le Forum would lose most of its eruditeness if you left We've never had any correct form as to who is welcome post: this place has great contributions from motorists, sailists, bothists, inbetweenists, ex-ists, justgettingintoitists and exhibitionists. You can check out anytime you like but you can never leave :D :D

Great stuff. I'll add a point of view, then:

I like LIBS...There, I've said it. I live west of London but don't find getting to excel difficult. It's a good opportunity to meet friends and shoot the breeze in a pleasant place with various bits and pieces to look at. I seem to remember there were quite a few charter outfits there last time I went and I quite fancy the idea of Norway next Summer. Possibly on a rag n stick.

I thort you might say that and as a preliminary I took the precaution (a few weeks ago) of cancelling the booking I had for renting a Nat Trust cottage in your neck of the world over Xmas. :D
