What's the difference

Re: What\'s the difference

Dunno, that's why I asked.

Had me wondering if it was something to do with the type of boat they crewed. Or perhaps is it a rank thing?

"and an acrobat and a policeman?"

Give in - what is the difference?

Re: What\'s the difference

An acrobat performs clever tricks?

Re: What\'s the difference

I heard the spoonerism in the version of the difference between a magician's wand and a policeman's truncheon.

I think there's a bit in somewhere in Hansard where an Opposition MP stood up after his opponent's speech and said something to the effect: "I am truly amazed by the shining wit on the opposite bench, if you'll pardon the spoonerism".
