Whats the difference between Cmap NT and CMap NT+

www.c-map.com all explained on there. 5 seconds on Google

I spent the best part of 30 minutes looking at this site prior to posting my question and couldn't find anywhere where it provides information regarding the difference between the 2 programmes.
Now, either I am being stupid, or it isn't there! I await a barrage of replies provijng my stupidity!!

The above link does indeed provide information regarding the compatibility of the variuous programmes ( thanks), but that's not what I was asking.
I can't seem to find a simple explanation of what the differences are - apart from NT+ being more expensive!

Is it the amount of enhanced detail on the map.

The base map is the same across all products then each variation has additional "value added data".

For example: I have NT+ charts in my plotter and I have not got the additional photographs and animated navaids. A sample NT+MAX has got images and animated navaids.

...............oh and by the way, you really ought to get your internet connection speed checked out. When I searched it took me 0.032 secconds!

Sorry I misled you. I assumed the heading would explain the difference. Anyway it is really simple. The NT charts are local and NT+ are wide area charts - hence the higher price.

More information on what each contains on the MES site www.mesltd.co.uk

Yes, slow internet - but that time does include deciding which site to go to from Google!

I dont know and I could be wrong but I assumed ..........

the + indicated the inclusion of Tide data pop up windows.

NT
Charts

NT+
NT charts plus tide data

Update ............... I've sent an email directly to Jeppsen and await their reply.

"Hi
I'm sorry but we do not have any literature about the difference between the 2 technologies, what I can say is that NT+ has enlarged coverages and the processor of GPS had been improved to read this technology. Detail on them are quite the same"

This is the response I received from Jeppsen's support crew.
I have to say the reply is a bit of "no reply".

As they are vector charts, I expect they have found a way of compressing the data so that they can get the wider coverage on the same size card.
