What's the best hangover cure?

I have not had a bad one for a few years, yes drink lots of water before etc, fall asleep when everyone else is on the liqueurs etc is also a good plan.

One xmas many years ago series of parties and overindulgence tried fried breakfast, water, coke asprins etc come lunch i was foul, out for lunch one bloody mary with loads of sauce etc and i felt great, and i was a pleasure to converse with, but not recomended if you have to work after.

Had a few too many last night and got to thinking this morning that I'm glad I'm not going out on the boat today. This in turn got me wondering how to cure the hangover if I was to go sailing the morning after? I'm sure some of you must have been there, done that and have some weird and wonderful remedies! When I was younger and in the navy it really wasn't a problem but now a days it seems to take for ever to get rid of a hangover. Oh before anyone starts dragging out there soap boxes and climbing the moral high ground, I already know it's best not to get drunk the night before.
So let's hear some of your remedies and experiences.

Drink!!

Being sencible, loads of water before bed (leave heads light on), then if you can stomach it cooked breakfast with coffee then sipping a rehydration drink on passage. There were some sweets/tablets i had called crazy lemon which were good.Best cure i found is don't get too pissed before sailing, although i never get sea sick on big ships after 3 or 4 beers.Otherthing to overcome it is Melatonin but you need to get it in Spain.

couple of thoughts re: some of the replies...marmite is salt rich = dehydration....dubious results....orange juice to rehydrate..... more (citric) acid in your gut......dubious as well but sort of on the right track i.e. replace lost fluid...the advice of a stiff walk and breathing deeply is, I think, more beneficial than one might, at first realise. It is going to increase the metabolism which will have a direct effect on removal of the toxins... Boots use to sell a product called RU21 apparently developed by the Russian space agency. it contains chemical suppliments the volumes of which become depleted following excess alcohol consumption. they didn't work for me though but in theory could/should help.

Doesn't this thread belong in The Lounge?

If not, perhaps all the not-very-curious would-be expressionist thoughts I normally jettison there, belong here, too?
