I called in to Port Edgar today for lunch and a quick browse of the Bosun's Locker. In years gone by - my parents lived in Fife and I did this a lot - a March Wednesday would have seen the place half deserted with tumbleweed blowing along the docks and hardly anyone in the caff. Today the whole place was rammed. There must have been at least 100 and possibly 150 cars in a big new car park the caff was packed - ever table inside taken, twenty people sitting outside despite the cold and a queue to the door the whole time we were there.
Was there something special on or is Port Edgar always like this now? If the latter, what do all these people do there? The Philly Cheese Steak was as good as ever, by the way.
