There have been lots of talk and posts about inflated Used boat prices and lack of availability, I Had the opportunity to record an interview with James Barke, managing Director of Boats.co.uk about What's going on in the used boat market in 2021! I thought he was going to do a complete sales pitch but you'll be surprised to his answer of "should you buy a boat now?"

here's the full interview

Down here if it floats it will still sell.
35 foot Trader type boat up for sale for around 37K.
When lifted it was riddled with glassfibre worm.
Rumoured to have been sold a few days later for £17 K.
At guess something like 20% of club boats have been sold on, not all have been replaced.
Folks interested in changing boats reluctant simply because there is nothing out there to buy.
If you do spot a boat and phone its usually 3 answers......................... Its sold, its under offer or the owner has taken it off the market cos theres nothing available that he can buy.
Bought a boat from Mr Barke many years ago , 100 % impressed.
