What's boating like in your area?

Hi Hugo,

Our boat has been based on the Milford Haven waterway for over 10 years. Due to the shelter of the Haven we can use the boat in most conditions and on nice days we can be out to Skomer island in less than an hour. The haven also has many sheltered and beautiful anchorages. For example, Dale, Watwick bay, Llangwm. The list is endless!

I have attached a few pictures which I hope are useful to you (We have many more!).

Hi Hugo

Some Bristol Channel pics as promised. Couldn't decide which ones to do so uploaded them to PhotoBucket here:

Lots of possibilities for weekends, a great one we did last year was Portishead to Cardiff for Lunch, Evening tide over to Watchet for the night, back the next day passing the Holms (Flat Holm & Steep Holm) Weston-Super-Mare and the old Clevedon pier. We have made to Padstow & Lundy on the north Devon side or Milford on the south Wales side. Not sure these qualify as weekenders for us, bit past the 20NM.

You could try the N Anglesey coast. Very picturesque, and lovely when settled, but can be dodgy in NW'lies.

Lovely photos of Milford Haven, Matt341. Can you pm me your email address so we can discuss the possibility of writing up a Perfect Weekend on the area?
