What's best? Sailing North or South Ionion in August

Some great tips...many thanks to you all (sorry if I sent others off another tack with the Turkey, Croatia Q...keep that for another day, Christmas perhaps...Turkey that is ).

Well we have done the deed...South Ionion it is, booked a week in August. Beneteau 331

So we have at home, having just come back from our first flotilla in the South ionion...Nidri, Sivota, Frikes, Ay Eufimia, Vathi (Ithaca), Vathi (Meganisi), back to Nidri. True, there were light winds in the mornings so motoring then some decent wind in PM to sail in. But great fun and good practice for starters. Again thanks to all who gave us the heads up to go South...
