what would you have done ??

Well there you have both sides of the affair ....I’m afraid there are many omissions (notably it was dry the times he fitted the cover and it was after rain that I reported rain pouring in through the zips ,)in PureCanvas reply presumably
in order to to make better reading for you . Anyway it is his story and mine . Make yer minds up . I’m not going to enter into a protracted argument with pure canvas as it would serve no purpose ......he has his version and I have mine .

Why not ? If I was very pleased with his work and named him would that be wrong ?

That's different. There are two sides to a story, not saying he didn't do wrong but I wouldn't have named his company I'm sorry. Just read the canvas guys post.

Thanks for coming back on. Hope your wife is getting better.

It is interesting whenever there is a dispute how different both sides can initially be. Often both parties are convinced their version is the correct one. The process involved in commercial disputes in court brings this out fully, and, on the whole, the process is often pretty good at arriving at a common version of events and isolating the contentious issues, but it takes a surprsing amount of time. I guess the lesson is to keep a written record of events and put as much in writing as possible - it is a nuisance, but there is less scope for misunderstanding.
