I speak reasonable English, it's my first language and I learned to read from an early age. At 7 I had the reading age of an 11 year old, granted it hasn't progressed much in relative terms but I do ok.
When this utter drivel came through in an email today guess where it ended up?
"What has Absolute to do with that discipline, the alchemy, between empirical science and art, aimed at the transmutation of the metal into gold? The answer came during the Boot Düsseldorf 2019.
No alembics, magic potions or good luck ceremonies have been necessary to be enchanted by the beauty of the most recent Absolute Yachts creation: the 62 Fly, “The Absolute Alchemy”.
The modern alchemists of the shipyard have mixed innovation, technology and Italian craftsmanship and the result has been impressive… no trick nor illusion: everything is real!"
I mean bloody hell. Just say Hi Henry, thanks for coming to see us at Düsseldorf, have a look at our new 62 foot flybridge, we think it's great. The bull continues:

. As it happens I face this kind of thing regularly with the Italian manufacturers I deal with. There is a big difference between being able to carry out a conversation in English and writing colloquial English PR copy and foreigners often dont appreciate that but I find it hard to criticise because I wouldnt have the first clue as to how to write colloquial PR copy in Italian. However, I do insist that any PR and advertising stuff that my manufacturers send to UK customers is approved by my office. It seems that in this case, the UK Absolute dealer may have had his eye off the ball and he shouldnt have allowed this stuff to be sent to you. Still no harm done eh? And they do say there is no such thing as bad publicity. After all he we are talking about Absolute
