What to take to Scotland....

Thats it, all packed.
14 jumpers, 3 sets of oilies, 2 scarfs and 8 hats.

Thick bacon, sausages (dunno about the Lorne yet), dozen eggs.

Morgana is Chief Sarnie Maker for the trip.

Robert is your Fathers Bruvver. We are on our way way way oop norf. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As a late comer to this thread I can only say......

....what the hell have I let myself in for.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But for the sake of Silkie's reputation, I can also add that I have had the pleasure of both seeing, and joining him in sampling, the inside of Jim's Whisky collection cabinet.... and a jolly fine collection it is too.... or at least the bits I remember were very good....

Ah..... better put another couple of jumpers in the bag...... will I need a snow shovel?.... its 425 flippin' miles...... similar distance to the Alps...

As long as you can fit it all into 2 cu.ft. (plus booze of course) then you can bring it aboard.

Looking forward to the pleasure of your company though still slightly concerned that Morgana doesn't realise just how small 22ft of slim-hulled ocean whippet really is.

That's not the half of it. If not actually running the whole show (which many do), you'll find them holding top jobs in the City, the banks, insurance companies, civil service, armed forces, trades unions, NGOs, the media, just about every UK based multinational (and a fair few US ones as well these days), art and cultural activities etc etc etc. I don't see it's a problem; after all, someones got to do it. Commitment to civil society, public service etc - it's just part of the ethos.

Well that neatly proves my point ~ thanks for that.

Any sensible Scot will be found outside of Scotland, i.e. only goes back for holidays, doesn't actually live there but always expounds the virtues of the place /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have my 'Second Chance' rugby shirt with me. That rebuilt and sailed a 22ft'er for a couple of seasons.
Must be bigger than my Limbo?

Besides, Morgana is built like a racing snake, and has long association with sailing minimalist dinghies. I will ensure that we have a full kit inspection, and that his trousseau contains nothing but essentials. And spare batteries for the camera.

You seem to have forgotten the few bottles of single malt...Hope you have some we gifts for the Excise men when they clear you in /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
