What to recover this with

On my new to me Fletcher the 'plastic' sticker material over the dash has failed. This is very common with fletchers. I want to replace it with something similar but it has compound curves. Does anyone know what this material is/was and or has a link to something similar

remove the wooden substrate. if it's in decent condition and can be sanded, reuse it. Get some carbon vehicle wrap from www.mdpsupplies.com and cover it with that. It can be done in situ, but you'll get better results if you can remove it.

Another option would be to get a new panel made up in whatever finish takes your fancy. Brian Wards at Brundall do a good job. Would cost a bit more than a vinyl wrap but they do that too if memory serves.

I remade mine using some marine ply and an iron-on wood veneer. You could lay-up carbon-fibre over the top, flowcoat gel or apply a wrap as previously suggested.

How about water transfer decals? It should accomodate any compound shapes and you can choose any style, carbon, wood effect etc.

3M Di-noc Is what I covered mine with. Exceptionally easy to work with and to cover compound curves use a hair drier to make those areas more pliable. Di-Noc comes with a huge range in finishes / appearances so you will find something suitable.

Well having been doing several Jobs on the boat in the tent we just got round to finishing the Dash. I had to do it with the Dials in place because there was no way I was taking that lot out laying on my back in the footwell.

We had to do the dash with the dials in a few pieces but we are quite happy with the end result. Not perfect but it will do for me

Thanks Bruce and all It was the 3M Di Noc that you suggested that I used and it is a very good material. Doing it with the Dials in place made it a challenge but looking at the back of all of them and the wireing made it an easy decision that I was not going to take them out
