what to liveaboard

The trawler--large ship--looks fantastic! You would always find a place in the med marinas these days --but at a great price!

What i noticed in Danmark and Sweden this summer that boats such as this and smaller down to an ex Polish pilot cutter (very very nice and about 30+ foot) had to be in working condition and be able to move with there own engin even though they had permanent moorings.I understand they also had to be kept in "good order" in Sweden if not yet?in Demark, though the Danes seemed to be reparing and painting.Watch out for the rules.

Most if not all the ships of that size were company offices/workshops or resturants. What i meen about new rules is it could make moving and upkeep expensive even though im sure you will want to keep her in good shape.

The barge with the engin would be my choise of the two (though the ship would be wonderful!! Would it be realistic??) Still a lot of work but you can make comfortable rooms a deck gargen terass super

In Paris i stayed alongside a couple that were or had almost finnished?? fitting out a barge it was very confortable and worth haveing the interior planed and useing good materials.

Be sure you have a mooring where you can stay long term and check the rules and what if any rule changes or new rules (Brussels? local authority?) there may be.

Lastly boats over 23m new a special driving licence!!

Wish you good luck and remember on what you decide now will will depend your future happiness!

Just a thought, stumbled over this one.
