SWMBO has given me permission to enjoy a three day weekend on the boat - Friday till Sunday.
I was considering joining another forumite at Cookham but I need to be back on Sunday and its a bit of an all day thrash to get back to PH in one day.
Some time since we've enjoyed the delights of Hampton Court and there's a rather nice Italian just the other side of the Palace.
Anyone got any ideas? Fancy a mini forum meet at Hampton Court or Teddington?

Beware Hampton Court this weekend, I believe there is a Cliff Richard concert on and several boats are going down to see the old man - may be your cup of tea of course! :)

Tickets all sold out and I certainly wouldn't be parting with £60 or £70 of my hard earned to see the old codger.
If theres a free mooring on Friday - I see the Frankie Valli concert has been cancelled - I'd be quite happy to take advantage of it and listen from outside as it were.

Had a fantastic meal in Ristorante Sorrento, 132 High Street a couple of weeks ago good value three course set menu too, the rack of lamb was to die for! they have a sweet trolley and are generous with the portions.

Thought they'd closed down. Used to go often but it declined somewhat so haven't been for a while. Used to do a tasty king prawn i vodka sauce with pasta and I do remember the pudding trolley!

They did and they are back ish....but all done up.

You cant go wrong eating in Teddington in fact if you want your hair cut whilst buying a house and eating you are in the right place...

Well, downriver it is and thats about the limit of the decision making process so far !

Lots of options - Hampton Court, shopping in Kingston, Teddington but who knows ……..

Well that's a relief not just to me but to the Thames Valley Cruising Club who are rallying here at Ashmount this weekend. They can relax knowing there's no huge vicious dogs here.

River very quiet. Hampton Court almost nose to tail with NB's but managed to squeeze CLB in so Chinese in Molesey is the plan. Turned into a beautiful evening - warm & sunny - Oscar Peterson on the iPod, peace .....

Yes NB's and replica DB's seem to be increasing in number. Anyway well done for squeezing in. You should have about 50 or so paddle boarders en route from Shep to Kew passing tomorrow.
Youngest at his marina had an inflatable paddleboard explode in the sun yesterday - sorry one shouldn't laugh:D:D:D

Hmm ... Rained a lot during the night a nice clean boat now covered in cr*p!
I'd forgotten how frenetic it gets down here - rowers with coaches who like the amplified sound of their own voices) fishermen (many using boats with outboards and the trip boats of course.
Speed and wash enforcement could have a field day - KGS00* would do for a start!
